My XX-chromosome mentorship family at Bezerkeley decided to throw a cheesy Thanksgiving dinner before we all leave for break. I initially only took it as your basic potluck, but when I arrived at my Ate--that's older sister in Tagalog--Lyris' apartment and saw that she was being all cutesy decorative, it pretty much s e t t h e t o n e. But don't get me wrong, this was no high-end snobby-nosed diner, it was just lovely and it was great to spend time in each other's company and catching up on each other's lives.
